Joe hails from Texas where he learned to play guitar at 12. Joe comes from a family of musicians & got the itch to start playing in bands when he was helping his older brother's band load their equipment in & out of venues. Joe learned how to run sound as well and was able to make amazing connections. When jobs moved his family from Texas to Nebraska and finally to Iowa, Joe kept adapting & finding bands to play with wherever he went. When his finally settled in Iowa, he saw an ad for a band with a female lead singer named Jen that was searching for a guitarist. He was the perfect fit, and Done with Tuesday was his first band in Iowa. Jen & Joe formed a lifetime brother-sister bond, so even when Done With Tuesday ended, they remained close. Joe then played in the band 40 Stories and was a founding member for the band Avery Riot. After taking some time off for family, Joe knew that he wasn't done. He reached out to Jen & Jeremy, and together they started unbalanced. 

Joe enjoys supporting live music & going to concerts, and spending time with his wife Monica, daughter Grace, son Jett, and their dog Layla Blue.

Jen grew up in a small Iowa town, and was singing since she could talk. She participated in choir & musical theater in school, and enjoyed singing in church. After graduating she moved to Cedar Rapids where one night she attended a karaoke show with some work friends. The karaoke host offered her a job on the spot. She ran karaoke in local venues for almost 10 years, where she met bandmate Jeremy & his brother. She joined their band Reddoor as the lead singer for 2 years. After leaving that band, she started a band Penny DreadFull, which was inspired by Evanessence. Jen was later invited to start up the band Done With Tuesday, where she met a guitar player who had just moved to Cedar Rapids named Joe, who became her surrogate big brother. 

Outside of the band Jen is a big supporter of retail therapy, supporting live music, and spending time with partner (& bandmate) Jeremy, their daughter Jacey & dog Benny.

Was once approached by an HBO producer in a nightclub in Salt Lake City to model in a fashion show.

A Utah native, Jeremy was born into a musical family and learned to play guitar at an early age. He  grew up watching his dad & uncles get together & jam for fun and was inspired to start his own cover band someday. After moving to Iowa as an adult, he started a band with his brother called Four Deep. After a few years, he & his brother started another band called Reddoor where he met singer Jen. Jeremy remained in Reddoor for several years before taking time off for family, but performing has a way of pulling you back in. Jeremy, Joe, and Jen started unbalanced in 2016.

In his personal life, Jeremy is an avid golfer. He enjoys spending time with his son Jaden, his partner (bandmate) Jen, their daughter Jacey, and dog Benny. 

Started his first band in 8th grade & was the front man/rapper. 

Mike was born in Oregon to a family of musicians & has been performing since he was a teenager. He started as a singer & guitarist before discovering his passion was the bass guitar. Mike went to college on a scholarship to study jazz & double bass. His career took him from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre to tours through Europe, sharing stages with artists Keith Urban & LeAnn Rimes. Mike was with the Green Mountain Bluegrass Band for over 10 years & recorded 4 albums. Mike is bringing a wealth of experience & unmeasured passion to unbalanced. 

Mike is passionate about jazz, and enjoys catching a concert whenever he can. He & his  wife Stephanie enjoy  spending time with their daughter Hannah and son Desi.

Patrick was born in Omaha but moved to Iowa as a toddler. As a kid, he fell in love with the drums & is proud to say he has been drumming for 44 years. Over the last 15 years Pat has played with several beloved local bands including Lipstick Slick, Flex, Harvey Headbanger, Skin Kandy, SuperKnot, Slap & Ticket, and more. His versatile syncopated beats and dynamic stylings are second-to-none.

Pat is a proud Eagle Scout, and enjoys being outdoors whenever he can. During the fall you can catch him at Kinnick for an Iowa football game, and in the winter time you might see him at Carver for an Iowa basketball game!
